Countdown to Summer 2026!

“I owe everything that I am to Jewish overnight camping. My closest friendships, my Jewish identity, my personality, all of it. To be able to embark on this new chapter at Camp Poyntelle, a storied overnight camp, in such a pivotal time for Jewish youth, is both a wonderful opportunity and a responsibility I don’t take lightly. The campus is magnificent, the history unmatched, and the community one of a kind; Poyntelle’s incredible reputation precedes it. I look forward to meeting all of the campers, families, alumni, donors, and staff that call this place home, and seeing through their vision for this next exciting chapter in Poyntelle history.

Jeff spent the last 21 years at NJY Camps – a Co-Ed Jewish overnight camp in Milford, PA – where he grew up and fell in love with the world of sleepaway camp.

Jeff’s passion and prowess in the camp world has been on display from the moment he made the move from camper to counselor, as he quickly rose the ranks from Marketing Coordinator to Assistant Director to Teen Camp Director. Jeff’s vision and leadership led to him being promoted to Co-Director of Camp Nah-Jee-Wah, a camp that serves 400 children.

Throughout his time in the camping field, Jeff has also worked on alumni engagement, community partnerships, program development, and more. While skilled in all things camp, Jeff’s natural calling is with a microphone in his hand, leading all camp programs, getting everyone “hyped.”

Recognized for his leadership potential within the continental Jewish camping field, Jeff was selected for the prestigious Merrin Fellowship as part of the JCC Association of North America in 2023/24. Jeff also holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Binghamton University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University.

Outside of camp, Jeff enjoys spending time with his friends across the NY metro area, and with his family in Westchester, New York. He is also all-in on his New York sports team, though maybe not the one’s many Poyntelle families root for. Rangers, Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Jeff can often be found in front of a TV or in the stands following along what he calls, “his yearly disappointments.” He’s also a self-proclaimed ranked car-singer, nationally ranked apparently, though after extensive research, no such ranking has been found.
