Tuition Discount

We offer a premier camp experience with incredibly competitive rates! Our Loyalty & 1st Time Family Discount is available to both returners and new members of our camp community. This discount reduces tuition by $500 for a full summer or $250 per session. Loyalty expires right after Labor Day on September 6th, 2024, and 1st Time Family expires on November 1st, 2024. Please note that the loyalty discounts will not show up on your family account until after a deposit is applied.

Extension Policy

The Full season rate is only available until June 1st. Any extension from 1st session to 2nd Session by a returning camper will be charged the second session rate. For example, if you have a 7th-grade camper who wants to extend you will not pay the difference of $6,200 to $9,750 which is $3,550, instead, you will pay the second session rate of $5,550. For first time families, if you wish to extend you will only be charged the difference between your session and the full summer tuition price.

Refund Policy

For returning campers, full refunds are available up until January 15th. For campers starting camp for the 1st time, full refunds are available up until February 1st. Between that date and the start of camp, we will retain the $1,000 deposit for any cancellations. As of June 1st, there are no refunds or rollover credits for cancellations or session changes.

Credit Card Fees

Please note, a service charge of 3% will be applied to all credit card transactions. As many of you know, this has become a standard business practice in New York State when paying with a credit card, as it allows businesses to cover the 3% fee that the credit card company is charging. This charge does not and will not apply to other payment forms such as cash, checks, debit cards, or ACH payments.

The Poyntelle Difference

At Camp Poyntelle, we provide an exceptional, premier overnight Jewish camp experience at an affordable rate, simply because that’s what is most important to us – so much so that’s it at the core of our mission and values. Thankfully our parent agency, Commonpoint Queens, and our long-time partner, the UJA Federation of NY share our commitment to providing outstanding – and affordable – Jewish summer experiences. As a result of our combined efforts, the only thing missing at Camp Poyntelle is the additional expense to families. Our goal is to continue sharing our summer home and transformative experiences with as many families as we can – not only those who can afford to pay more. Click here if you would like to learn more about the Poyntelle Difference for your family.

Camp Poyntelle & the One Happy Camper Grant

We proudly support funded OHC grants for 1st timers, which are supported by community partners or PJ Library. Save up to $1000 – Apply Today! To learn more about your eligibility, please visit the link below. Campers must be enrolled at Camp Poyntelle prior to applying for the OHC grant.

Financial Assistance

Poyntelle Scholarships are given through our parent agency – Commonpoint Queens. Based on our competitive pricing structure, fiscal assistance will only be available for campers 6th grade and above. To maximize our funds and reach more interested families, we have decided to use “FACTS” Management Company Grants to collect financial and tax information from families seeking assistance. FACTS will perform a financial analysis of the required paperwork and recommend a Scholarship based on the fiscal needs of each specific family. Our goal is to ensure that our funds are being used where most needed, allowing more families to experience the joy, warmth, and spirit of Camp Poyntelle.

When applying for FACTS, instead of looking for Camp Poyntelle as your camp/school please look for Central Queens/Samuel Field Y and choose that option (this is where Commonpoint, our Parent Organization, operates out of).
