Camp Starts in -

Lewis Village (Grades 8 & Up)

Our teenage program range from 8th-11th, grade. These young adults help us create an energized and spirited camp environment. Our LV campers live in bunk organized by age and travel by division during the day. However, their nighttime activities are often spent together as a Lewis Village family or by age group where smaller groups can spend time in a more intimate setting. Our goal is to create an environment where success as a teenager is built upon modeling behavior to the rest of camp and showcasing their talent, leadership and spirit by having them lead events and tackle challenging activities. Being a teenager at Poyntelle is unique and our young adult campers will experience new activities and events each and every summer!

How is a teenagers day different from younger campers?

We create an age appropriate, aspirational daily program that challenges our teens to be the best possible versions of themselves. We offer activities that are 100% new and different than anything they’ve seen before at camp. We also consistently push them with various teen projects and offer opportunities for them to be showcased as leaders in our community. Whether it’s a surpirse legacy event event or an out of camp community service initiative, we create moments which push their limits and offer them the chance to leave their mark in a positive and meaningful way.

Structured Mornings vs. Elective Afternoons

Our teens will take part in daily activities by division each morning. These programs offer the chance to continue developing skills and learning new activities as a group. The events are challenging and the lessons adapt to all skill levels while also offering more advanced development for the more skilled camper.

In the afternoon, our teenagers take part in our week long Clinic Period which allows them to really dig into areas in which they love to participate. This is where their passion and commitment translates to growth as they tackle new challenges and develop greater skills in their chosen area. Later in the day, they take part in our Teen Electives, which are unique and specific to older campers. You name it – we have it! Everything from our core camp activities, to Golf Cart Driver’s Ed, Pontoon Boat Fishing, Program Planning, Mentoring and Community Service! We develop options that are exciting and new, so every day is another chance for new memories with lifelong friends.
