Tuition Discount
We offer a premier camp experience with incredibly competitive rates! Our 1st Time Family Discount is available to all new members of our camp community. This discount reduces tuition by $750 for a full summer or $500 per session. 1st Time Family expires on September 30th, 2026.
Refund Policy
Full refunds are available up until December 31st, 2026. Between January 1st and March 31st, 2027, we will retain the $1,000 deposit for any cancellations. Between April 1st and April 30th, 2027, we will retain the $2,000 for any cancellations. For any cancellations after April 30th, any type of refund will be up to the director’s discretion.
Credit Card Fees
Please note that a service charge of 3.5% will be applied to all credit card transactions. As many of you know, this has become a standard business practice in New York State when paying with a credit card, as it allows businesses to cover the 3.5% fee that the credit card company is charging. This charge does not and will not apply to other payment forms such as debit cards or ACH payments. Camp Poyntelle does not accept cash or check payments.

The Poyntelle Difference
At Camp Poyntelle, we provide an exceptional, premier overnight Jewish camp experience at an affordable rate, simply because that’s what is most important to us – so much so that it is at the core of our mission and values. Thankfully, our parent agency, Commonpoint, and our long-time partner, the UJA Federation of NY, share our commitment to providing outstanding – and affordable – Jewish summer experiences. As a result of our combined efforts, the only thing missing at Camp Poyntelle is the additional expense to families. Our goal is to continue sharing our summer home and transformative experiences with as many families as we can – not only those who can afford to pay more. Camp Poyntelle & the One Happy Camper Grant
We proudly support funded OHC grants for 1st timers, which are supported by community partners or PJ Library. Save up to $1000 – Apply Today! To learn more about your eligibility, please visit the link below. Campers must be enrolled at Camp Poyntelle prior to applying for the OHC grant.
Financial Assistance
Poyntelle Scholarships are given through our parent agency, Commonpoint. To maximize our funds and reach more interested families, we have decided to use “FACTS” Management Company Grants to collect financial and tax information from families seeking assistance. FACTS will perform a financial analysis of the required paperwork and recommend a Scholarship based on the fiscal needs of each specific family. Our goal is to ensure that our funds are being used where most needed, allowing more families to experience the joy, warmth, and spirit of Camp Poyntelle.
When applying for FACTS, instead of looking for Camp Poyntelle as your camp/school, please look for Central Queens/Samuel Field Y and choose that option (this is where Commonpoint, our Parent Organization, operates out of).
