When I got on the bus to go to Camp Poyntelle, I was very nervous but had a huge smile on my face. The bus ride was long but fun because I made a best friend and we annoyed the counselor the whole time.  The next day I took and passed my deep-water test.  After the test, my entire bunk was lying exhausted and laughing on the dock and that was when I knew I was where I was supposed to be.

Camp Poyntelle has so many fun activities.  I really enjoyed Outdoor Adventure because I love being outdoors.  You can take a nature walk or go mountain biking.  But my favorite activities were on the lake.  I love knee-boarding and playing in the water park.

But my best memories are of the great friends I made.  We played card games and told funny jokes.  I even walked into a wall a few times to make them laugh.  And my best friend, Jonah, also lives in New York City so I get to see him when we’re not in camp.

Camp Poyntelle is amazing and I think anyone who wants to go to sleepaway camp should come here.
