Hello! I’m Sydney. I came here to Camp Poyntelle with one of my best friends, Emma. I didn’t know anyone here except for Emma, so I was really nervous. When I got here we were put with our groups. We all said our names and a random fact about ourselves. Everyone looked like friends already so I was really scared being one of the new kids. Very quickly, though, I made my first friend. Her name was Hannah and she was really nice. Emma, Hannah, and I would hang out and I was thrilled.

I soon made friends with everyone in my bunk and I was really happy that I already had so many friends and it was only my first day… But there was much more to explore.

When I saw the lake I was extremely excited. I didn’t know how they could fit so many fun things into just one lake! I loved all of the activities especially arts and crafts.

Now I’m on my second year. This year I made even more friends and I still got to see all of my camp friends from last year. I have tried a lot of new things like media, tubing, and so much more. Despite it being early on at camp (at the time of writing), I never want to leave.

Camp is my summer home and the friends you make here last forever. I just can’t wait for summer number three!
