The energy and spirit of Lewis Village continues onward as we get ready for the summer of 2019. I am extremely excited to bring our traditions to our new campus on Poyntelle. Camp life is continuously creating memories and building life-long relationships, each and every summer. Our teen campers have many opportunities to challenge themselves, develop skills, become leaders of camp and develop their social skills and independence.

What I am most looking forward to as LV Head Counselor:

1. Awesome new bunks for LITs!
2. Late Wake Up and 2^nd Seating Meals!
3. Special canteen nights and curfew time for LV only – every night!
4. Monday morning line up: Bill and Myra’s Mitzvah Monday…“Do it yourself for someone else!”
5. LITs leading Shabbat!
6. Lewis Village evening activities!
7. LIT led Color Wars!

These are just some of the things that I am most excited about. When I think of Lewis Village, I envision teenagers learning, laughing and growing together. I imagine teenagers helping others, doing Mitzvah Madness projects and community service in local towns. I can see our LV campers leading activities and having fun together, while also guiding younger kids through their personal camp journeys. I am so thrilled that we can now share the spirit and excitement of Lewis Village with everyone…on one campus! We have a very special opportunity in front of us. We will experience our favorite traditions all summer, while adding new ones that no one has ever done before. We get to show the younger kids just how amazing it is to be a teenager at camp. Like always, the spirit of Lewis defines the essence of Camp Poyntelle! We can and will write our own history…and I can’t wait to get started!
