Lewis Village Trip to Cleveland!

Talia Bidner and Joe Salzman from Lewis Village give us an insight into the highlights of the four day trip to Cleveland that the oldest campers here did…

The Big Trip is one of the best parts of camp for Lewis Village Campers like us. This year we went to Cleveland, Ohio and had the best time! We got to see so much of the city in a short four days.

Indians vs. Rangers Baseball Game
After a long bus ride and a trip to the local mall, we attended an MLB game. Our seats overlooked the entire stadium! We were able to watch an exciting game while enjoying delicious ice cream. And to top it all off, the game finished beneath a b-e-a-U-tiful sunset.

Cleveland Zoo
On our trip to the zoo we were able to see animals from all over the world. We did everything from feeding giraffes to observing pink flamingos sleeping on one leg. We saw sloths and all different kinds of monkeys. At the end we visited the gift shop and bought sweatshirts and other cool souvenirs.

Cedar Point
For those of us that enjoy a thrill, Cedar Point is one of the most popular amusement parks in the country!  From loops to scary drops, Cedar Point has it all. The rides are so thrilling and fun that we were prepared to wait in line for an hour at most (the park is very popular). After a long day of adventures, there were plenty of snacks to choose from. We were able to experience the thrills of Cedar Point for a whole day!

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Our last stop on big trip was the Rock and Roll hall of Fame. We learned about so many famous artists like Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones. We also got to play some instruments like the electric guitar and the keyboard. We finished the day with buying some cool shirts and socks!
